Brightview Senior Living Breaks Ground on Phase II of Brightview Avondell

Headquartered in Baltimore, MD, Brightview Senior Living, which owns and operates six senior living communities in Maryland, has announced a Phase II expansion to its Brightview Avondell Independent and Assisted Living Community. Located at 128 West Ring Factory Road in Bel Air, Brightview Avondell opened its 122-senior living apartment community in January, 2008. The community filled to capacity in January, 2009. The Phase II expansion will add another 57 Independent Living apartments to the campus. A Ground Breaking ceremony was held indoors on December 8 at 10:00am at the community.
Harford County government officials, Brightview Senior Living executives, and local business leaders participated in the ceremony. Harford County Executive, David Craig, and Harford County Director of Community Services, Mary Chance, were the featured speakers.
Brightview Avondell offers apartments that accommodate the active lifestyles of independent seniors as well as apartments designed specifically for assisted living. The Phase II expansion of Brightview Avondell will feature 5 studio apartments, 43 one-bedroom apartments and 9 two-bedroom apartments. Community spaces will include a café, pub and billiards area, library, computer center and hobby shop. The expansion will also include walking paths, putting green and an indoor swimming pool. Completion of Phase II of Brightview Avondell is scheduled for August 2010. Reservations for the apartments are being accepted at this time.
