The Shelter Group Promotes Mark Cavanaugh To Senior Vice President Of Finance

National residential real estate development and property management company, The Shelter Group, has announced the promotion of Mark Cavanaugh to the position of Senior Vice President of Finance. With the organization since 2006 as Vice President of Finance, Mr. Cavanaugh’s role has steadily expanded over the last four years. His position includes responsibility for Shelter’s accounting, financial reporting, tax and treasury management, for The Shelter Group’s corporate entities and its seventy property portfolio, which includes twenty Brightview Senior Living retirement communities as well as affordable senior and family housing communities. Mr. Cavanaugh also oversees Shelter’s Compliance, Information Technology and Risk Management functions.
Mr. Cavanaugh holds an undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of Delaware. He is a CPA and member in good standing of the American Institute of CPA’s (AICPA) and the Maryland Association of CPA’s (MACPA).
President of The Shelter Group Marilynn Duker said of Cavanaugh’s promotion, “Mark will also play a key role in preparing for the planned growth of our businesses, particularly in Brightview.
